The APAIE 2012 Conference & Exhibition will be held at the newly inaugurated Srisavarindira Building of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok Noi Campus. The oldest of Mahidol University’s three city campuses, Bangkok Noi is home to the university’s original medical school (Thailand’s first institution of higher education). As it is located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, the campus also enjoys a scenic and relatively quiet setting within a busy urban environment. In addition, it is also close to many of attractions including Wat Arun “Temple of the Dawn” and is situated directly across the river from the world-famous Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew “Temple of the Emerald Buddhaâ€.
Traveling to the conference from anywhere in central Bangkok is easiest by taxi; however, please bear in mind that in traffic can be heavy during the peak morning and evening rush hours. For your information, transportation to the venue will be provided by Mahidol University for delegates staying at Shangri La, Royal Orchid Sheraton, Millennium Hilton Hotel, Mandarin Oriental and Royal River Hotels.
Delegates staying in other hotels may talk to the hotel concierge or information desk about the best way to reach the conference venue; they can often arrange a metered taxi for you. As the venue is located by the river, in some instances an express river boat may be the quickest and most convenient option. For further information and review please see the map of the venue. For your convenience, the conference address in Thai, which can be shown to the taxi driver is also included.
