MUIC Business Major Wins Bronze Medal in SEA Games
A 3rd year International Business major won the bronze medal in the Men’s Double Trap Individual category in the recent Southeast Asian (SEA) Games held in Malaysia.
Mr. Sirawit Temmart previously won the bronze medal in the SEA Games pre-event earlier this year and the silver medal in the same competition last year.
He said he started competitive shooting when he was 14 years old, encouraged by his father and cousin.
MUIC Student Joins UN-sponsored Leadership Symposium
Mr. Pawinpon Theerawong, majoring in Social Science, served as the official representative of Mahidol University and Thailand at the University Scholars Leadership Symposium which was held on August 1-7, 2017 at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) in Bangkok.
This event—organized by Humanitarian Affairs United Kingdom, a social enterprise institution, and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)—provided an opportunity for young student leaders who are committed to make a complex society much better to be inspired by several humanitarian speakers. Moreover, the host provided participants with the chance to learn more about diverse cultures and backgrounds through networking opportunities and also through volunteer activity at Khlong Toey, a slum community in Bangkok.
Alumna in Thai Equestrian Team which Won Silver Medal in SEA Games
A Mahidol University International College (MUIC) alumna, Ms. Pakjira Thongpakdi (MUIC Class of 2014), was a member of Thailand’s dressage team led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana that won the silver medal at the recent 29th Southeast Asian Games.
The competition was held on August 22, 2017 in Selangor, Malaysia, with the Thai team racking up a combined score of 206.211. Ms. Pakjira and a teammate moved to the dressage individual final on August 24 with the THM alumna getting a top score of 71.711%.
Student Golfers Compete in University Golf Championship 2017
Mr. Tibet Issaramalai, Mr. Chanapat Kritsadavorakul, Mr. Kritaya Chatkaew, Mr. Kitithat Trangansri, and Mr. Kris Ketklao, are Mahidol University International College (MUIC) students who were selected to represent Mahidol University at the “University Golf Championship 2017” on August 16 at The Vintage Golf and Country Club.

Training for Incoming Student Leaders
The Office of Student Affairs of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) organized a student training activity entitled, “MUICSA Training and Evaluation Camp 2017” for 65 incoming Student Association and clubs’ representatives on July 25-27, 2017 at Golden Khao Yai Resort and Spa. It aimed to prepare the new student leaders for their future duties through lessons on teamwork, leadership skill development, knowledge exchange, and activity organizing.
An expert led the students team-building and walk rally activities. Moreover, Office of Student Affairs’ staff trained the student leaders on activity management.
MUIC Students Join 3rd Asian Undergraduate Summit
Mahidol University International College (MUIC) students represented Mahidol University at the “3rd Asian Undergraduate Summit (AUS) 2017” held on June 28 – July 3, 2017 at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in Singapore.
Ms. Suchanun Piriyasatit, Ms. Pasorn Chinvorrachai, Ms. Sornanong Chompoothong, Mr. Karn Chirathammakun, Mr. Tanyapat Siripornrungrueng, and Mr. Apisith Tatsanaviriyaporn, participated in lectures, discussions, site visits and group work to deliver the final product in the event which had the theme “Leadership in a Complex World: Disruptive Change in Everyday Life”

MUIC Student Participates in “2nd International Student Science Forum 2017”
Mahidol University International College (MUIC) student Ms. Nattira Sukboon was chosen to join the “2nd International Student Science Forum 2017” on June 21 – 25, 2017 at Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Its theme was “Industry 4.0 and Building Smart City” and Ms. Nattira’s topic was “Citizens’ Engagement in Smart City” with another ASEAN student. Science Students Among Top 10 in Quiz Bowl
Ms. Sasiphatlapa Thanpolphat, Ms. Ratchawee Hothanyaroj, Ms. Woranan Leevongcharoen, and Ms. Nattaporn Rungkawwiwat, Food Science and Technology students from Mahidol University International College (MUIC) competed against 72 other teams from different universities at the “FoSTAT-Nestle Quiz Bowl 2017” on June 17, 2017 at Bitec Bangna.
