The Dean of Mahidol University International College (MUIC), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phitaya Charupoonphol, joined Rakkaew Mahidol University in observing recently the fieldwork training of students from the Faculty of Public Health of Mahidol University and the Faculty of Medicine of Srinakarinwirot University in Saraburi Province.
The student field researchers collected baseline data about communities in Nong Yang Seuw and Sub Sanoon Districts including prevalent health problems, infrastructure, cost of living and social welfare.
Mr. Tanachai Rueangchaisit, Club President of Rakkaew Mahidol University, said that the lessons he learned from observing the procedures of the student field researchers, along with the data they have gathered, will significantly help Rakkaew in formulating sustainable programs for communities which would include entrepreneurship projects for the local residents.
The other MU officers who joined the observation team included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Preecha Soontranan, Vice President for Student Affairs and Alumni of Mahidol University; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prayoon Fongsatitkul, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University. They were accompanied by their respective staff. Prof. Chairat Neruntarat, MD, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Srinakarinwirot University, also joined them.
