On November 8, 2017, Dr. Treerapot Kongtoranin and Dr. Phassawan Suntraruk, faculty members of the Business Administration Division, accompanied a group of BBA students majoring in Finance to participate in the Tax Career Day 2017 hosted by Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) Thailand at its headquarters in Bangkok City Tower, Sathorn Road.
PwC, one of the Big Four auditors, is a multinational professional services network, having partners in approximately 800 offices across 157 countries. PwC Thailand provides corporate tax and legal services, global mobility service, and world trade management service to some of the largest Thai and multinational companies and government institutions. Currently, it has more than 1,800 employees at its Bangkok headquarters.
Being part of this event, students had a chance to meet Mr. Somboon Weerawutiwong, Lead Partner, and Ms. Prapasiri Kositthanakorn, Partner in Tax & Legal Services. This allowed the students to gain more knowledge about the tax service career and to learn from the experience of experts in the field. Moreover, the students had a chance to meet and network with other students from other top Thai universities. They were also able to talk to current BBA interns and BBA alumni working for PwC and have a discussion with PwC employees. They also had a great opportunity to present themselves for the company’s human resources.
The students were grateful for the wonderful learning opportunity they had when they visited the PwC Thailand headquarters and meeting its leaders and staff. The BA Division expressed hopes that the Tax Career Day will help students identify and understand their strengths, values, passion and how to use that knowledge to explore this unique career path. Ajarns Treerapot and Phassawan said they would like to thank PwC for providing this opportunity to their students.
