A faculty member from MUIC was invited to be a guest lecturer at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule RheinMain) in Germany on May 6-10, 2018.
Dr. Jerimiah F. Morris, Chairman of MUIC’s Fine and Applied Arts Division (FAA), gave a lecture on “Signs and Signification: A Theory for Conceptualizing Meaning in Films” to 30 2nd year students in the course “Conceptual and Film Design for Audio and Video.”
He also held discussions with his hosts regarding the possibility of student mobility and joint projects between the students of MUIC’s Media Com program and RheinMain University of Applied Sciences’ Media: Conception and Production Program.
Dr. Morris later gave a 10-minute presentation about MUIC and its Media Com program after which several students expressed interest in spending their semester abroad at MUIC.
After an initial meeting between representatives of the two institutions during the EAIE Conference in Seville, Spain in September 2017, three officials of RheinMain University of Applied Sciences visited MUIC three months later.
