For students with academic performance problems, the academic counselor, who reports directly to the Assistant to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, will keep track of each student’s academic performance through the information available on the SKY system. Students with academic performance problems will be identified by using the criteria set by Mahidol University. The academic counseling process includes
(1) a warning message on the SKY system;
(2) a formal notification (letter) issued by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs which will be sent to the student’s parents or guardians to inform them about the student’s status and the university’s academic standard policy; and
(3) arranging a meeting with the student (in some serious cases parents will be invited) during the trimester to discuss the student’s problems and the university’s policy. The student can make an appointment for academic counseling via the Office of Academic Affairs.
