ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA)

Due to the challenges posed by an increasingly competitive world, higher educational institutions acknowledge the need for quality assurance that is recognized by governments, companies and other institutions in order to ensure that their students receive high quality and relevant education.

The ASEAN University Network (AUN) states as its objective the importance of quality in higher education and the need to raise the educational standards among its 30 member-universities, which includes Mahidol University. It is for this reason that AUN introduced its quality assurance assessment for AUN member-universities’ program and institutional levels.

Mahidol University International College (MUIC) maintains a strong liberal arts focus and promotes a learning culture that prepares its students to meet the challenges of living and working in a diverse and globalized world. In accordance with MUIC’s vision and mission, the College’s programs undergo AUN-QA accreditation to achieve teaching and learning efficiency at a high standard.

MUIC’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs (including Finance, Information Systems, International Business, Marketing, Business Economics) have successfully completed and passed the AUN-QA accreditation process in July 19, 2013.

These BBA programs’ AUN-QA certification (except for Information Systems) is valid until July 18, 2017 when MUIC will apply for renewal. On that year, MUIC will also apply for accreditation for another BBA program (International Hospitality Management).

The AUN-QA certification guarantees that MUIC’s accredited academic programs satisfy regional and international standards in higher learning and supports MUIC’s goal of effectively preparing its students for a successful career.
